The microencapsulated red phosphorus flame retardant series is a halogen-free flame retardant, using red phosphorus as the core material and a highly microencapsulated flame retardant with thermal stability intellectual property as the shell material. It adopts a self-developed process to achieve extremely low fineness, narrow particle size distribution, and high stability in a series of products. While retaining the overall advantages of ordinary red phosphorus as a flame retardant, the thermal stability of the product is greatly improved, allowing for better synergistic flame retardant effects between the core and shell materials. After microencapsulation, the product has certain decolorization, particle size, and safety greatly refined, making it compatible with polymers, improving thermal stability, and facilitating storage, transportation, and processing.
Due to the encapsulation of red phosphorus by the shell material, the likelihood of red phosphorus being exposed to air is reduced, further decreasing the amount of phosphine generated from the degradation of red phosphorus, thus significantly lowering the danger during the processing of polymer materials; at the same time, the ignition temperature of the red phosphorus flame retardant is increased. With the introduction of the shell material flame retardant system, this series of flame retardants has the characteristics of expandable flame retardants. This series is a type of high-efficiency flame retardant that can achieve good flame retardant effects with a small amount. Due to the low addition amount, it has a minimal impact on the mechanical and electrical properties of polymer materials, greatly improving the dielectric tracking index of polymer materials. Additionally, this series of flame retardants also has a smoke suppression effect. This product is environmentally friendly and halogen-free, complies with the latest EU ROHS directive requirements, meets REACH regulation certification, and has passed SGS testing.
Scope of application
Mainly applied in oxygen-containing high polymers such as polyamide (also known as nylon) and polyester (commonly known as polyester),
polyurethane, polyisocyanurate, epoxy resin, and flame retardant glass fiber reinforced polyurethane. It can also be used as a flame retardant synergist in non-oxygen-containing high polymers such as polyolefins and polystyrene.
Widely used in electrical appliances, nylon or glass fiber reinforced plastic components, wires and cables, model plastics, epoxy resins, synthetic adhesives, closed-cell foamed plastics, automotive interior fibers, etc.
